I remember seeing the first UFC on tape when I was really young and loved it because it reminded me of the movie Bloodsport, which was a source of inspiration for martial arts when I was young. Now Bloodsport serves more as a vital part of a drinking game.
Now I'm lucky to own copies of UFC 1-10 and I can't help but laugh at the commentating which now that I think about it should be used to induce drinking at parties.
Yea so amidst all this senseless there's a question...somewhere in there, or maybe I just wanted to talk to you.

I was introduced to it by a friend about 5 years ago,it was an old ufc with vitor demolishing Ferrozo (sorry if spelled wrong),and i was hooked. It was super hard to get any MMA stuff in New Zealand at that time, but eventually we got UFC and now have Pride,Bushido etc so since then i have been collecting like mad. It also got me into Jiu Jitsu and i somehow have managed to keep a girlfriend even though MMA is all i talk about and watch (darn near)

UFC 1 when I was really really little. My dad had a buddy who got free payperview and he knew I liked wrestling a lot. He thought UFC was just another wrestling thing so he taped it for me. When my dad brought it home and we watched it I was hooked.

Paul Varelans Vs. Marco Ruas was the first MMA match I saw. It pretty much kicked all bootay that was worth kicking in 1995-6.

Was smoking dope in the back room of my buddies uncle's bar. He had the first 4 UFC's on tape, plus some smaller venue shows and some good weed. I was hooked instantly! (on green and MMA)

ufc 52 was the first event i had ever seen. and the first fight on the card was mayhem vs gsp... that was a sick fight. after seeing that fight i was hooked and have been a mma nerd ever since, going back and watching older events and fights.

I was living in Colorado during the time the first few UFC's were happening. I kept hearing about them for a while and finally got my hands on a tape of UFC 1 in like 1994/1995. Been a fan since ever since.

I was watching a Mike Tyson PPV on a cassete that my instructor brought over for my pops after the Tyson fight was UFC 1 boy was I hooked. I was taking TKD at the time , but both my instructors were trying to get certified to teach JKD . I ended up taking classes with my teachers teacher and boy did I learn quick I was way behind. All this cross training you see we did in my Jkd class . We had boxing , muy tai , grappling, submission it was all broken up in days and we sparred only twice a week . Conditioning was done before class it wasn't required , but you did on your own in th gym area. We did drills and tech. on class time very little conditioning on class time . It wasn't until Ufc 1 that I realized how important the grappling arts were. I so respect the Gracies even tho I almost always root against them.
