LOL he has fought without one but yeah I think his chances of catching Matt go down dramaticaloly without it!

yea, let's just hope the Royce, probably one of the harrier gracies, has enough to make up for the lack of a gi.

I'm pretty sure you have to fight shirtless!

[glow=red,2,300] I think Royce took the sport in a new direction with BJJ, but he isn't as well-rounded as he'd have us believe. There are other Gracies who would fare better with Matt Hughes, but they are contracted (I think) through Pride. I just don't want it to be a squash like Shamrock vs. Franklin.[/glow] I'd hafta agree, if Hughes want's to win easy he'll just keep it standing. I would say Dana White did this mainly as a fight to try to get some different faces ordering the PPV, AND to string out the Hughes GSP rematch as long as possible. I think that Dana White might be preparing us for a Royce Vs Shamrock III

I think if Royce fights his fight, he will do ok. His technique is so good, i think he might be able to catch Hughes in something.

it's definitely a possiblity, but at this point I'm going to say a very slim one. If royce couldn't submit Hidehiko Yoshida when they were both wearing gi's I don't see it happening to hughes without them on.
