Hey guys, I got back to hitting the bag only about 3 or 4 times a week, but ive been just working on some fairly basic combos, kicks, etc....
Ive watched some instructionals ive downloaded that have helped, but I dont have too much training and havnt trained for awhile, but Im getting back into it. I have decent strikes so far.
Anyone have any drills, combos, etc etc they would reccommend to help me out? Remember im pretty new to this so I just know the basics so anything would help.

how heavy is the bag? is it one of those immovable monstrosities filled with cement, or the kind that flies around everytime you touch it. everybag seems like the latter to me.
Anyways, I work with a decently heavy bag, and i'm pretty much in the same boat as you, working with instructional videos and whatever boxing or muay thai guys are in the area. I spend most of my time just working on the mechanics of punches, kicks, or footwork, more so than trying to practice the combos on a heavy bag. Lots of boxers that I've seen work with a 3 minute ringer machine that beeps every three minutes followed by a 1 minute rest and do that for about 10 rounds.
I probably wasted a lot of your time with this response, but I figure if you're on this site then you probably have a fair amount of time to waste. =).

Hahah, naw man, thanks for the info. My bag is 80lbs but I want to switch to a thai bag instead. The ringer machine is a good idea but I dont have one, I guess I could just use the alarm on my cell phone or somthing! haha. Ive been working on the mechanics since i have a lack of training and used to hurt my hands, but i havnt hurt them for a long time. Im usually using wraps and 16oz gloves.
