What are the best exercises for quickness and explosivness? Not liquid explosions.

plyometrics definatly. try get a program, that helps alot with Explosivness + Quickness. Air Alert is a good program, its built for Basketball though.

For our rugby League team,we do sprints with a weighted sled tied behind us. That helps alot,also sprinting uphill does wonders. League requires the same explosivness in tackling that MMA needs for the takedowns

do inclined runs on the treadmill and do dumbell shotputs. Wallball also helps you explode vertically. Taco Bell too.

I agree with the rugby guy, rugby players train alot like mma, not only speed and power but also taking knocks. Doing both, I know, doing one makes you better at the other I do rope jumping for reflex, uphill sprinting for power with that reflex, vertical jump(much like a hurdler would) and flexibility goes hand in hand with explosiveness
