I never liked tim sylvia but now I hate him. A silva would have taken him down if he didn't grab the cage and could have possibly ended the fight. He should have been penalized. I hope AA hurts him.

Oh man, I was swearing and yelling at my TV when he did that!
I, too, have never been a Syvia fan and that just made me dislike him even more.

not to repeat what everyone else said, but it did make me angry as well...you never know what might have happened if silva was able to get him to the ground...and unfortunately due to Sylvia's "cheating"...we will never know...and i agree with mischief

I agree with all of you. He has no chance against arlovski, nor anyone that is good with takedowns and bjj

I was upset about this as well. And as much as it angered me, Tim did the right thing. He got off with a warning and no slam.
However, Big John should have been issuing him a warning earlier, for his holding of the top of the cage. Then, that could have turned his cage grab into a point deduction.

Arlovski will not break a sweat, UFC is in need of a couple of Heavy Weights that have the Talent that Arlovski and Mir Have, just my opinion.

Wow - you guys are brutal I definitely think Tim should have known better. He's been in this business long enough to not be confused about the rules. However I don't think I could say that I HATE him, because he did it. I'm going to have to watch this again, because I could have sworn I heard BigJ issue him TWO warnings about it.

Yeah - that's what I remember. Like the 'warnings' they get when the ref is about the stand them up.

I'll always dislike Tim Sylvia: to me he looks like an ape that wasn't cool enough to be a monkey. He grabbed the cage and saved himself- Good. That way Andrei Arlovski can beat the living crap out of him, but now Im beginning to wonder who in the UFC can beat Andrei Arlovski? Do we have to get some guys in from Pride? That last fight with Paul Buentello was a joke. Paul fell on Andrei's back when he got knocked out lol. It was like " the human bed" poor Buentello. I guess " having more heart than anyone in this business" didn't help =(

In order to get over my upsetness at the constant cage holding, I had to go and play the fight where Sylvia got his arm broke.

He swears natural defense in the same way that Bush's natural defense against an attack from WMD's was a pre-emptive strike.
